In December 2022, Toyota showed off some of its electric concepts in Thailand. One of these was a workhorse that many people thought could replace the famous Toyota Tamaraw. It seems that the idea may evolve into a modern Tamaraw and be sold in the future.

In December 2022, Toyota showed off some of its electric concepts in Thailand. One of these was a workhorse that many people thought could replace the famous Toyota Tamaraw. It appears that the idea may develop into a modern Tamaraw and be made available for sale in the future.
Okamoto stated that Toyota is still evaluating its options and that the new Tamaraw could potentially be an electric car.
They intend to produce the new Tamaraw in Santa Rosa, Laguna, at the TMP plant, but no official start date has been announced for this new project. However, it is not anticipated to commence in the near future. TMP makes the Vios and the Innova right now. If it wants to make something like the new Tamaraw or even just the all-new Vios, it will have to change the way its factories work.
