The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is officially coming to the Nintendo Switch Console in HD. This was announced in the recent February 2021 Nintendo Direct.
The game was originally released for the Nintendo Wii back in 2011. Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was the last Zelda game that was released on the Wii which fully utilized its motion controls with the Wii Motion Plus adapter. Now, players can control Skyward Sword with a more conventional button scheme. It also includes a new button-only controller scheme where the player can play in handheld mode.
Along with the release of the game, Nintendo also revealed that they would also launch the Legend of Zelda-themed Joy-Cons. The left and right controllers have some resemblance with Master Sword and Hylian Shield which would be its function when the Joy-Cons would switch to its motion-controller mode.
For fans of the game, you can both expect Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD and the Joy-Cons this July 16.
