Super Mario Sunshine Coming to Switch 2 on August 13

Nintendo has announced that Super Mario Sunshine will be added to the Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics library for the Nintendo Switch 2 on August 13.

Originally released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2002, the game was last made available through the limited-time Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection, which has since been discontinued.

Its arrival on Switch 2 brings the fan-favorite title back to modern Nintendo hardware.

Nintendo also announced that two previously unreleased Virtual Boy games, D-Hopper and Zero Racers, will join the Virtual Boy library on August 4. The update will also add the previously announced option to customize the Virtual Boy screen color.

These additions are part of Nintendo’s continued expansion of its Nintendo Switch Online classic game library.

All of the newly added games will be available to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members.
