Discord will allow messages from public channels in Discoverable Servers to appear on web pages and search results starting in mid-December 2026.
The change applies to Discoverable Servers, which have at least 1,000 members and can be joined without an invite link.
Starting November 16, all Discoverable Servers will have a Server Web Page. These pages will show basic information about the community and may include summaries of public discussions.
From mid-December, some messages from public channels may also appear in web search results. Usernames and profile pictures will not be shown alongside these messages. Messages sent before the rollout will not be included.
Server admins can choose which channels can appear on the web or turn off the feature entirely. These settings are available under Server Settings > Web Presence.

Members can also choose whether their messages appear online through User Settings > Data and Privacy. Channels that allow web-visible messages will be labeled so members know before posting.
The default settings depend on the user’s region. In the EU, UK, Canada, Brazil, Australia, and South Korea, the option is off by default. Users under 18 in the teen age group cannot enable it. In other regions, the option is on by default but can be turned off.
Discord said the changes only affect Discoverable Servers. Private servers, direct messages, and group direct messages will remain private and will not be included.
