Spotify Launches Prompted Playlists for Podcasts

Spotify Prompted Playlists

Spotify has introduced a new feature called Prompted Playlists for podcasts.

The new feature lets users describe what they want to hear, including specific topics, moods, or scenarios.

Spotify then generates a playlist and updates it regularly using listening data and current trends. Each playlist also includes short notes explaining why certain episodes or content were selected.

To use the feature, users can go to “Your Library,” tap the “Create” option, and select Prompted Playlist.

They can then enter a prompt and choose whether the playlist updates daily or weekly. The prompt can be edited at any time to make the results broader or more specific.

Playlists can also be shared through a link. Other Premium users in supported markets can use the shared prompt to generate their own version, while free users can listen but cannot create or personalize playlists.

Prompted Playlists is currently available in Beta, but only in English. It is also limited to Premium users on mobile devices.
