We recently got our hands with Sony Xperia Z5’s lil brother the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, and so far its been quite a cutie. The Xperia Z5 Compact, as beastly as it is, looks really adorable, in a good way of course. So, we figured to share our first few hours with this cutie with you guys. Check out its specs, features and overall capabilities to find out whether the Xperia Z5 Compact is the phone for you.

Design
What we had in our possession is the Xperia Z5 Compact white version and it really looks superb. Its kinda boxy in a that its pretty square and its pretty small. The edges are felt reminiscent of the current Xperia C5 Ultra in our possession, with its white metallic like frames which looks absolutely similar to the C5 Ultra. Its glossy oleophobic back cover also feels at home with the C5 Ultra. Truth be told, its like a miniature version of the C5 Ultra, at least exterior-wise. Handling the device is quite a breeze, as the portable device really was compact, which it stays true to its name. The microSD card slot is solely located on the left side of the device, which strikes to me as peculiar, though it felt pretty okay, since if felt like its a more utility-wise place to put the microSD card slot.
The device is a bit chunkier too, which adds up to the device’s adorableness, though it can easily be felt when handled that the device isn’t as light as you think a small fry could be. For its exterior features, i’m pretty curious about the positioning of the volume rocker and camera shutter key on the right side of the device. All physical buttons were wrapped up in one frame. So far in terms of design, i’am pretty intrigued at the same time adored by this little munchkin from Sony.

Display
The Xperia Z5 Compacts 4.6-inch  720p Triluminos display felt like it was pretty okay to say the least. Although, i’m not solely satisfied with the brightness of its display, since it felt like the device’s maximum brightness is still not that high. We took the liberty to do whatever we wanted to do with the device, though we figured to focus a bit on screen display quality.
Despite being relatively low in terms of brightness level, the Xperia Z5 Compact holds a pretty awesome display quality. we viewed a couple of built-in videos and a few downloaded ones and was astounded by its quality, despite the screen being relatively small. It looks like the Bravia engine and X-reality engine are both doing they’re jobs superbly. We were really convinced that the display of the Xperia Z5 Compact was really something to look out.

Camera
Camera tech on the Xperia Z5 Compact was pretty good. The thing is, the camera capabilities of the Z5 Compact is similar to its bigger brothers, so, logically speaking, we should have expected it to deliver a few top-notch shooting outputs.
While shooting around some random subjects with the device, we can’t help but enjoy and play around with its various options, and was really surprised with how the device shoots out great quality outputs in low lit places. Great rear shooter, pretty excellent front shooter, the Xperia Z5 Compact is a good still image shooting machine that will be looking forward to in facing with other smartphone shooters in the near future.

Fingerprint scanner
We didn’t exactly got up close and personal with the device’s fingerprint scanner, though we can safely say that the device contains such a feature. This feature literally makes the Z5 Compact, or the Z5 series to be exact a great device overall. However, when we did try it out, it pretty much works like a charm and is very quick and specific too. This is gonna help out a lot of users that get their devices into trouble, which biometrically speaking, they’re devices are pretty much safe.

Overall early experience with the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact
We spent most of our time on playing around with the Xperia Z5 Compact, so we had some pretty awesome times with it. we browsed around a few of its options and whatnot and it felt really smooth. Nothing beats the smooth flow of browsing on a vicious phone. We started to check first on its gallery and figured to check out a few built-in videos and pictures of the device. There we found out that the device was excellent overall in terms of display quality, but was not safe from a bit of photo grain, or it could just me the built-in photo itself.
Next up, we tried to play with its camera features, checking out possible different effects that the device can do. We had a few in-depth talk with one another and figured to try out as much of the features as we can. We greatly enjoyed its creative effect feature, which enables to shoot a photo using a different shooting theme, which felt nice because they had kaleidoscope mode, which gave me a bit of nausea. Next is its mask mode, wherein you can use the picture of a separate person or even a friend to use as a mask in shooting. this mode is gravely for the front-facing camera. We didn’t have any friends yet that we’re in the device, but there were built-in mask you can try, to be specific, animal masks.
All in all we had a great experience with the device, and we’ll sure to look forward to a few more activities with the device, though for now, we have to stick with what we did.
