Samsung Opens One UI 9 Beta for Galaxy S26 Series

Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 9 beta program for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Series, based on Android 17.

The update introduces new features focused on customization, accessibility, creativity, and security.

Samsung Notes now includes decorative tapes and more pen styles, while the Contacts app adds access to Creative Studio for creating custom profile cards.

The Quick Panel has also been updated with more layout controls, allowing users to separately adjust brightness, sound, and media player sections.

Accessibility improvements include adjustable Mouse Key speed, a unified TalkBack package, and a new Text Spotlight feature that enlarges selected text in a floating window for easier reading.

Samsung also added security measures in One UI 9. The system can now warn users about potentially risky apps, block installation or execution, and recommend deleting suspicious applications.

The One UI 9 beta is available starting this week for Galaxy S26 series users in select markets, including Germany, India, South Korea, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Users can join the beta program through the Samsung Members app.

Samsung said the full version of One UI 9 will launch later this year.
