Samsung and Google introduced new AI-powered intelligent eyewear during Google I/O 2026.
The new eyewear is designed to work with smartphones and allows users to interact with AI using voice commands while keeping their hands free.

The device connects to phones and supports features such as navigation, notifications, translations, calendar management, and photo capture.
According to Samsung and Google, users can ask Gemini for directions, nearby recommendations, or message summaries. The eyewear can also translate spoken conversations and text seen on signs or menus.
Samsung said the device is part of its broader AI ecosystem, while Google described it as a new way to bring AI into everyday use through wearable technology.
Two versions of the intelligent eyewear were shown at the event. Gentle Monster’s models focus on fashion-forward designs, while Warby Parker’s versions use more classic styles.

The companies said the first collection of intelligent eyewear will launch in select markets this fall. Pricing and full availability details have not yet been announced.
