We’re still months away from when Samsung usually releases its Galaxy S series phone, around the third week of February, but we’re already hearing a release date from a well-known leakster in the world of mobile technology. According to the Ice universe via Twitter, Samsung is “tentatively launching the Galaxy S11 series and clamshell foldable phones in San Francisco, USA on February 18, 2020.”

With Mobile World Congress 2020 scheduled to kick off from February 24 until 27, Samsung is said to be mulling the S11 lineup and Galaxy Fold 2 release date before the said tech expo. Three variants of the flagship series are expected to be unveiled — S11, S11 Plus, and S11e. And in a recent tweet, Ice universe shared that South Korea will get the Snapdragon 865 chipset instead of the Exynos 980. Regardless, this could be just the second time we’re seeing a different phone launched beside the S11 series (the first was the Galaxy Fold and S10). Dubbed as the Galaxy Fold 2, not a lot is known about the “clamshell foldable” phone, however, the folding action happens horizontally like the new Moto Razr. So, it kinda sounds like the Galaxy Flip (if you were to ask us). That said, the price is expected to be not more than the P109,990 of the Galaxy Fold (hopefully).
