Samsung Galaxy J7 Core officially launched in Philippines for PhP 9,990 + Hands On Video

The most wallet-friendly Galaxy J7 yet

Following this year’s release of a nightlife-centric smartphone, Samsung Philippines has launched the Galaxy J7 Core (called J7 Nxt/J7 Neo in other parts of the Earth). Considering that this is the lowest-spec’d J7 in the family, it goes for a very wallet-friendly PhP 9990.

How does it differ from J7 Pro?

While I have mentioned that this is the last finisher, it does not come short with what it offers. An HD display, the same 8-core CPU and T830MP2 GPU of the J7 Pro, 2GBs of RAM, and the list goes on.

Feature-wise, it also packs whatever the J7 Pro has. But what it lacks is the low-light performance of the J7 Pro’s f/1.7 rear camera. Instead, it has the same-sized sensor, but with a f/1.9 minimum. The front camera is also downsized to 5MPx f/2.2, but with an LED flash.

Looking at it on the outside, it’s far from the J7 Pro which I have gotten used to, and the J7 Core definitely feels different to hold. Donning a mostly-plastic case, it’s less impressive than its big brother but still feels solid in the hand. The corners may be off-putting for those with smaller hands due to its more angular design.
