The Samsung Galaxy J6 just launched here in the Philippines yesterday. As for the Huawei P20 Lite, it launched in the Philippines this April along with its premium version. Both smartphones have relatively close price tags but which of the two phones are worth buying? Let’s find out here.

As mentioned, the Huawei P20 Lite has a larger screen with 5.84″ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 and an aspect ratio of 19:9. On the other hand the Galaxy J6 has a 5.6″ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1480 and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It seems that the P20 Lite has a better resolution as well.
The Samsung Galaxy J6 is powered by the Exynos 7870 Octa chip along with a Mali-T830 MP1. Meanwhile, the P20 Lite has the HiSilicon Kirin 659 and a GPU of Mali-T830 MP2. In terms of GPU, the Huawei P20 Lite definitely has the higher one. As for storage, the Galaxy J6 has a total of two variants. It contains 3GB of RAM and an internal storage of 36GB as well as 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. As for the Huawei P20 Lite, it sports 4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage. The two has a storage that is expandable to 256GB via a microSD card. Both smartphones run on the same operating system, Android 8.0 Oreo, as well.
For the camera department, the Huawei smartphone is the only one in the two that features a dual rear camera with 16MP + 2MP. The P20 Lite also has a 16MP front camera. As for the Galaxy J6, it sports a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie snapper with an LED flash.
In terms of their battery, both devices are similar. The two are fueled by a 3000mAh battery although their battery type are different.
