Samsung seemingly out of nowhere fully launched the Galaxy J1 (2016 variant) in Dubai. It seems that Samsung really wasn’t feeling to show up the lower handset to the world and quietly released it to the wild. The Galaxy J1 has received a lot of leaks and rumours throughout the week and seeing the handset being launched out of nowhere is quite an unexpected move by Samsung. Let’s take a closer look on newer Galaxy J1.

Specs-wise, the Galaxy J1 carries a 4.5-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, Exynos 3475 chipset, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM. In the shooting department, the Galaxy J1 carries a 5MP rear shooter and 2MP selfie shooter, which is pretty standard for a budget device. Battery-wise, the Galaxy J1 carries a 2050mAh battery capacity, which is something that is pretty unappealing to be honest.
The Galaxy J1 is currently priced in Dubai at $135 or roughly Php6K in converted PH price, which is pretty affordable, though hopefully, we see a global release of this budget-wise Galaxy J1.
