So what’s the Galaxy A5 2016 offers to the Galaxy A5 2015 model? First of all, the biggest changes are in the design, processor, memory, camera, and display.
The 2016 model offers premium metal + 2.5D curved glass build inspired by the Samsung Galaxy S6. There’s a very little resemblance to the Galaxy S7 though. A fingerprint sensor is integrated at home button as well. So far it’s easy to setup and works fast and accurate.
The internal hardware jumped from Snapdragon 410 quad-core chip to octa-core Snapdragon 615. The amount of RAM is still 2GB and storage at 16GB, but microSD card support is up to 128GB.
Unlike having to separate models for single and dual-SIM, the 2016 model offers hybrid microSD card slot and second nano SIM tray.
The display is now larger and sharper at 5.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED. The Galaxy A5 is the sharpest from the Galaxy A series 2016.
