OPPO usually refreshes its smartphone lineups every six months. With the Reno5 already nearing its six-month anniversary, it only means the successor is just right around the corner. According to rumors, the Reno6 Series will be announced this month during OPPO’s mid-year gala on May 22, which is expected to feature celebrities.Â
On May 22, there might be three smartphones announced, namely Reno6, Reno6 Pro, and Reno6 Pro+. The similarities between the three are that they will all come with a 4500mAh battery, 65W fast charging, and 30W wireless charging. The wireless charging feature is usually reserved for high-end devices, so it’s surprising to see all three deliver this feature.
As for their chipsets, the Reno6 is going to be powered by Dimensity 1200 SoC with a 90Hz display. Reno 6 Pro will make do with Snapdragon 870, while Reno6 Pro+ is the top-end Snapdragon 888 phone. Â
That’s all we know, for now, so make sure to stay tuned for more details.
