Now for those who value screen time over a fast screen, Realme X7 is a battery-saving alternative to the X7 Pro. It carries nearly the same specs and feature as its bigger sibling, but ditches the 120Hz and the Dimensity 1000+. However, it’s still a 5G-ready phone and is lighter and thinner overall. Available in China starting September 7, Realme X7 is available at CNY 1799(≈Php12,700) and CNY 2399(≈Php17,000) for the 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB models, respectively. Converted prices are without local taxes and fees, so expect them to change if the phones will ever arrive in the Philippines
Unlike the X7 Pro, the X7 doesn’t come with a huge tag line on its back. Instead, the blue, white, and rainbow colors are your typical shiny finish. We have yet to confirm, though, whether it’s of plastic or glass but, the 6.4″ FHD+ AMOLED is using Gorilla Glass for scratch resistance. There’s no microSD slot here as well. The same 64MP camera setup is present, but the main sensor appears to be from Samsung instead of Sony’s. Either way, there’s EIS, 4K video recording, and an ultrawide lens. The battery is rated 4300mAh, with 65W Dart Charging in tow. Â
Other than the 120Hz, the other difference here is the Dimensity 800U. According to leaked benchmark scores, it’s around the performance level of Snapdragon 765G in Antutu. While there’s no question about the CPU prowess of MediaTek’s chipsets, it’s the GPU side that needs a bit of polish to compete against Adreno.
