realme GT 8 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC launched globally

realme has just released its latest flagship smartphone globally, the realme GT8 Pro. Check it out!

The realme GT 8 Pro sports a 6.79-inch BOE AMOLED panel with anti-glare coating, 2K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, up to 7000 nits peak brightness, 3200Hz instant touch sampling rate, and Dolby Vision support.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the 3nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 octa-core processor with Adreno 840 GPU and R1 Graphics chip. Its AI chip allows gaming at 2K resolution and 120 FPS. The processor is paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 512GB UFS 4.1 internal storage, and packs a large 7,000mAh battery capacity with 100W fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging support.

In terms of its camera, realme has partnered with Ricoh Imaging Company, incorporating features from Ricoh’s acclaimed GR series into the GT 8 Pro. It boasts a 200MP telephoto lens with a 1/1.56″ sensor, OIS, 3x optical zoom, and 12x lossless zoom. It is also equipped with a 50MP 1/1.56″ main sensor with OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide shooter. Upfront is a 32MP selfie camera.

The realme GT 8 Pro also features the world’s first switchable camera bump, which allows users to detach and replace the camera islands with round and circular designs.

Other features include a Symmetric Master Acoustic Speaker, a 7000mm² VC, an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and triple IP66+IP68+IP69 water and dust resistance.

The phone runs on realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 and comes with a customizable interface. It will get 4 years of OS version updates and 5 years of security updates.
