Last year, realme launched the GT 5 Pro however, it was not able to make it in local stores. This time, realme will launch the brand’s newest flagship smartphone and addition to their GT series line-up, the realme GT 6. Lucky for us, we got our hands on it ahead of its official release date, allowing us to offer you our initial thoughts and give you a sneak peek into what this cutting-edge device has to offer.
Starting off with its design, the realme GT 6 has obviously a different look compared to its predecessor, the realme GT 5 Pro. This device boasts a premium-looking and elegant design. Its back comes with a Nano-Mirror design which is made out of a matte metal anodizing texture plus a shiny metal mirror texture on its camera module for a well-balanced and premium aesthetic.
This unit comes in 2 different color variants – Fluid Silver and Silver Green. Our review unit comes with a sleek Fluid Silver color with a configuration of 12GB+256GB which is a bit disappointing since its predecessor comes in 4 variants – 12GB+256GB, 16+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB +1TB.
Moving on to its dimensions and weight, the realme GT 6 and its predecessor come with the same display size of 6.78″. However, it is thinner by 0.6mm and much lighter by 25g, so we like how handy this one is.
This device is powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 which runs on realme UI 5.0 Android 14. There’s nothing much to say on this portion as we are yet to discover the real-life performance of this device, so stay tuned for our full review coming out soon.
In terms of camera, its main is equipped with 50MP Sony LYT808 OIS + 50MP Telephoto + 8MP Wide. The photo quality is good with great clarity and color distribution. Here are some sample shots that we took.
When it comes to its selfie camera, it boasts a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor, resulting in a true-to-life skin tone color, details are sharp and vibrant which is similar to its main camera.
Jumping to its battery capacity, the realme GT 6 comes with a 5,500mAh which is larger than its predecessors’ 5,000mAh.
So far, we are optimistic about this device. The only downside that we notice as of the moment is the lack of storage options as it is only available in 1 variant. That would be it for now, stay tuned for our full review on June 20 as we deep dive into realme GT 6’s full capacity and performance.
