Ahead of its imminent launch, Madhav Sheth, realme VP and President of realme International Business Group, confirmed through a Twitter post that the 9 Pro+ will get a built-in heart rate sensor.
As seen in the video, the smartphone is likely to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner that will also act as a heart rate sensor. The user must press the scanner until it gets a reading and the heart rate is measured.
The upcoming smartphones that are expected to launch on February 16 are the realme 9 Pro and 9 Pro+. It remains unclear whether the heart rate scanner feature will also be available in the realme 9 Pro.
For specs, the realme 9 Pro+ is rumored to feature a 6.43-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with at least a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will allegedly come with a MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast charging. Rumored features for the cameras include a 50MP primary rear sensor and a 16MP selfie punch-hole camera.
Official information about the realme 9 series is yet to be revealed, so stay tuned for more updates.
