realme has officially unveiled the latest addition to its 16 series in India, the realme 16 5G.

The vanilla realme 16 5G sports a 6.57-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ (2372 × 1080) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 4200 nits peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and DT Star D+ glass protection.
Powering it inside is the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo octa-core chipset with Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, paired with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage. It also packs a 7,000mAh battery capacity with 60W wired fast charging support.
One of its highlights is its camera; the device is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX852 main sensor with a 1/2.93-inch sensor size, f/1.8 aperture, and autofocus capabilities. The main camera is accompanied by a 2MP monochrome camera. Meanwhile, at the front is a 50MP selfie camera.
The phone utilizes the LumaColor IMAGE engine, which was previously seen on the realme 16 Pro, and features Vibe Master Mode for customizable atmospheric presets. There are also AI camera features integrated into the phone.
Found at the rear camera island is a circular selfie mirror, enabling users to frame themselves while using the primary rear camera. It is surrounded by Aura Ring Flash for lighting.
Connectivity features include 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.5GHz + 5GHz), and Bluetooth 5.4.
It runs on Android 15 OS with realme UI 6.0 on top.
Other features include an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and Hi-Res audio. It measures 158.3×75.1×8.1mm and weighs 183g. Available colors include Air White and Air Black.


The realme 16 5G is now available for pre-booking in India and will go on sale starting April 6.
