Qualcomm has unveiled its latest processor under the 7 series Mobile Platform that will power mid-range smartphones, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. It is the successor to last year’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2.
The processor is built on 4nm TSMC process technology, similar to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the 8s Gen 3.
It is an octa-core chipset consisting of one Cortex-X4 at 2.8GHz, four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.6GHz, and three Cortex-A520 cores running at 1.9GHz.
It promises 15% improved Qualcomm Kryo CPU, 45% improved Qualcomm Adreno GPU and 5% overall power savings compared to Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2.
However, the GPU does not support hardware Ray Tracing capabilities.
