POCO C40 scheduled for June 16 launch

Xiaomi sub-brand POCO is set to unveil a new smartphone called the POCO C40. Based on the teasers, the device will go official on Jun 16 via online launch.

Details are limited, but the POCO C40 will pack a large 6,000mAh battery. According to previous reports, it will also sport a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD panel with a standard 60Hz refresh rate and will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The smartphone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 680 chipset, paired with up to 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of UFS 2.2 expandable storage. It will also feature dual-SIM support, an IR blaster, an FM radio, and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader.

Camera-wise, it will allegedly use a dual rear camera configuration consisting of a 50MP primary sensor and a 5MP depth helper. Upfront will be a 5MP selfie camera.

The POCO C40 will launch on June 16.
