To start off, a shot of two buildings overlooking the Manila bay right before a gloomy sun down. Both the Nova 2i and V7 has a warmer tone compared to the cooler overall approach of the F5. It’s almost as if the Huawei and Vivo have the same exact result but on a closer look, the V7 has a stronger representation of color like the F5.

The second shot focuses on a tree which on all three shots result with a darkened trunk. The F5 has the darkest over all result although not losing much details while the Nova 2i being the brightest and most vibrant, while the V7 saying neutral within the three.

Screenshot 204

Activating the HDR mode altogether brightens the photos revealing much details that weren’t visible on the previous shot. Although the Vivo has the brightest and might I say the most detailed result, the other two didn’t fail either with the Huawei yet again having the most vibrant tunes in our eyes.

Screenshot 205

Moving on the next feature which the Oppo does not have, is the depth effect mode. The Huawei presents the bokeh look well while the Vivo does not shed the slightest bokeh effect. We tried taking another shot but alas, it only blurred the overall photo.

This next photo features some lighting sources tangled around a clutter. The Oppo was able to capture small details of the lightbulbs and has the least overblown quality within the three. The Vivo didn’t fall short and was able to capture lighting a bit better than the Huawei.

Screenshot 208

Night-time shots has the best over-all quality on the F5, not losing much details nor overblowing some lighting sources and with a good color representation. The Nova 2i on the other hand leans on to a dark greenish approach to color while the V7 ultimately has the darkest quality losing pretty much all details.

Screenshot 209

The Nova 2i Has a Night-mode but requires a serious steady hand to function. If not, most shots may result to a bright yet blurry outcome.

Screenshot 210

Surprisingly, the next night-shot has the most details presented on the Nova 2i although color accuracy and vibrancy stay on the F5. The V7 Yet again has the darkest result but was still able to show some details.

Screenshot 211

Last of the Night-time shots, both the Oppo and Vivo were able to stick to the original white lighting compared to the yellowish result of the Huawei. All in all, the F5 has the most detailed color accurate result with the V7 amazingly coming second despite the recent night-time results it showed.

Screenshot 212

The front camera shots on the F5 brightens the skin tone of the subject while the nova 2i and V7 almost have the same pinkish brown approach to color. Some Facial features are also apparent on the Oppo which you won’t find on the other two phones.

Screenshot 213

Turning on the beauty mode removes most of the facial details you saw earlier ultimately softening the subject’s skin color. The Nova 2i does not match the facial skin tone with the neck and chest area which the F5 and V7 did. What do you guys think have the best beauty filter against the three?

Screenshot 214

Depth-effect applies to all phones on front camera shots. All three handsets didn’t have a hard time differentiating the subject from the background although the Oppo and Huawei has sharper edges compared to the Vivo. The Nova 2i also has a more vibrant result compared to the F5 which has a paler approach to the skin color but having the most bokeh background effect.

Screenshot 215

The Low-lit selfies has the brightest result on the Oppo and the darkest on the Huawei yet having the most detailed result in all three. Somehow, the Vivo produced the palest skin tone on the low-lit category considering the recent selfie results we got from it earlier.

Screenshot 216

Lastly are the Night-time shots which has the same result as of the previous. With again, the Oppo having the brightest result and the Huawei the darkest and it’s fair to say that the Vivo tends to the neutrality between the two. What do you guys think?

Screenshot 217

Video recording on all phones are capable of shooting at 1080p at 30 frames per second, and has the reoccurring color theme we kept seeing for the past recent shots.

After seeing the individual results which do you guys prefer? What would be the best mid-range phone to take photos of you and your family these upcoming holidays?
