At the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2022, OPPO has unveiled its latest fast charging technology, the 150W SUPERVOOC flash charge, and 240W SUPERVOOC flash charge.
OPPO said that the 150W SUPERVOOC can charge a 4,500mAH battery to 50% in 5 minutes and deliver a 100% charge in 15 minutes. It is built using direct charging technology and features OPPO’s Battery Health Engine, which helps keep the battery performing at 80% of its original capacity after as many as 1,600 charge cycles, doubling the current industry standard of 800 cycles.
Moreover, the 150W SUPERVOOC also comes with Bionic Electrolyte Technology. It enables a supported battery cell to demonstrate self-healing functionality, which further increases battery health and performance.
The 150W SUPERVOOC flash charge will be launched on selected OnePlus smartphones in Q2, 2022.
On the other hand, the 240W SUPERVOOC flash charge was demoed at the MWC 2022, charging a 4,500mAh battery to 100% in about 9 minutes. It is now called the world’s fastest smartphone charging technology. However, OPPO didn’t reveal which device will feature this extreme charging tech.
