The latest release from OnePlus in China, the OnePlus Buds V, has sparked a wave of speculation about its international debut under the name OnePlus Nord 4. GSMArena initially shared this insight.
Despite the lack of official confirmation, the notion gains credibility when considering the past patterns and context of OnePlus’s product strategies. The prospect of such a transition seems increasingly feasible, given OnePlus’s history of rebranding and evolving its product lines to suit different markets and consumer preferences.
The Buds V by OnePlus are equipped with 12.4mm titanium-plated dynamic drivers, ensuring rich bass and crisp audio quality across various music genres. OnePlus emphasizes an immersive listening experience with its “Dolby Panoramic Sound” feature, especially when paired with a OnePlus phone supporting Dolby Atmos.
Featuring Bluetooth 5.3, the earbuds offer a stable connection with low latency of 94ms, making them suitable for watching videos or gaming. The charging case utilizes a Type-C port and seamlessly pairs with your smartphone via a pop-up window upon opening.
For clear communication, the Buds V employs dual microphones with AI-powered noise cancellation, effectively reducing background noise during calls. The design ensures comfort and stability, with a curved contour that fits snugly in the ear canal. Each earbud weighs just 4.3 grams, ensuring comfort during extended wear.
Users can tailor their audio experience further with three preset sound modes – Balanced, Deep Bass, and Clear & Bright – or create personalized EQ settings via the companion HeyMelody app.
It also comes with an IP55 dust and water resistance rating, the Buds V are suitable for workouts or outdoor activities, and they come in three stylish colors: Sandstone White, Interstellar Blue, and Shadow Black.
In terms of battery life, the Buds V offers up to 8 hours of playback on a single charge and an impressive total of 38 hours when combined with the charging case. A quick one-hour charge provides 5 hours of playback, ensuring uninterrupted enjoyment during commutes or workouts.
Compatible with OnePlus phones running ColorOS 11/OxygenOS 11 and above, as well as Android phones with Android 7.0 and higher, these earbuds cater to a wide range of users.
Additionally, the earbuds boast intuitive touch controls, allowing users to manage playback, calls, and track switching with simple taps. Controls include single tap for play/pause, double tap for the next track, and triple tap for the previous track, with customizable touch actions for added convenience.
