We’re still a couple of weeks away from 2020 but it seems like the OnePlus 8 series is taking the title of “most leaked phone” in 2019-2020. Thanks to slashleaks reposting the entire spec sheet and prices of OnePlus 8 Lite, OnePlus 8, and OnePlus 8 Pro, everything is set but the official release date and the announcement of the said phones.
OnePlus 8 Lite, OnePlus 8, and OnePlus 8 Pro (Leaked) Full Specs and Pricing
OnePlus will be hosting a special event in Las Vegas during the upcoming CES 2020. While the teaser reveals absolutely nothing about a product or service from the company, speculations point out to OnePlus 8 Lite — the rumored more affordable flagship handset. Noticed we said flagship and not mid-range? That’s because the leaked spec sheet points out to the MediaTek 1000 chipset which is an alternative to the Snapdragon 865 and other flagship SoCs (assuming it’s the Dimensity 1000 SoC).
The specs of OnePlus 8 Lite include a 90Hz refresh rate in a 6.4″ FHD+ OLED with a pinhole for the single-selfie camera. The main cameras will be headlined by 48MP f1.7, 16MP f2.2, and 12MP f2.4 (ultrawide and telephoto). They will support both OIS and EIS for more stable video footage. The battery is rated 4000mAh with support for 30W warp charging via USB-C. For the first time, the Chinese company is including official IP53 water-and-dust resistance rating. It’s one of the most requested features from its fanbase (aside from wireless charging). OnePlus has been adamant of not including it due to price increase. But given how expensive their phones have become, it’s just a matter of time.
OnePlus 8 Lite is said to be priced at CNY 2999 (~P21,700) and CNY 3299 (~P24,000) for the 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB, respectively.
OnePlus 8 (Leaked) Specification
For the standard OnePlus 8 model, everything is upgraded apart from the screen and battery. At 6.44″, the phone will be using Super AMOLED with a 32MP pinhole selfie camera. There’s the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 6 up front, too. With the Snapdragon 865, the standard model will support 5G through the X55 modem. Unfortunately, the battery might take a hit due to 4000mAh capacity. On the flip side, it still has Warp 30T fast charging. Camera-wise, the back will use the new Sony 60MP flagship sensor alongside 16MP and 12MP for ultrawide and telephoto. Although the handset will include IP53 rating, there’s still no wireless charging.
Using the speedy UFS 3.0 storage and faster LPDDR5 RAM, the prices of OnePlus 8 are CNY 3299 (~P24,000), CNY 3599 (~P26,000), and CNY 3999 (~P29,000) for the 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB, respectively.
OnePlus 8 Pro (Leaked) Specification
The larger and more expensive sibling of the three is the OnePlus 8 Pro. The screen now clocks in at 6.7″ with 1440p+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Like Samsung Galaxy S10+, there are dual-pinholes for the 32MP and Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensors. It’s said to enable 3D facial scanning like what Apple has been doing since iPhone X. With more power to use, the battery is rated 4500mAh which is divided into two 2250mAh to pave way for the 50W Super Warp charging. The camera setup is the same as the standard model, but there’s an added 10x hybrid zoom support.
For the prices of OnePlus 8 Pro, it’s said to be CNY 4499 (~P32,500), CNY 4999 (~P36,000), and CNY 5499 (~P40,000) for the 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB, respectively.
