OnePlus 16 Specs Revealed: 9,000mAh Battery Confirmed

OnePlus is set to launch its next number series smartphone, the OnePlus 16, on October 12 in China. Ahead of the launch, the brand has revealed several details about the device. Check it out!

OnePlus has confirmed that the upcoming device will pack a large 9,000mAh battery capacity, the largest battery in a OnePlus flagship yet. It will incorporate OPPO’s proprietary Glacier Battery Power Chip engineered to optimize energy efficiency and prolong battery longevity. It will also support 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

Aside from its large battery, the OnePlus 16 will be equipped with a fourth-gen BOE Oriental display using custom X4 luminescent material, which supports a system-wide refresh rate of 165Hz and up to 185Hz in compatible games. Other display-related features include hardware-level brightness as low as 1 nit, an upgraded P4 display chip, and Ultra-Dynamic Clarity Technology for enhanced motion clarity.

Promotional materials also revealed that the device will come with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K water and dust resistance ratings, along with connectivity features like tri-frequency GPS, quad-frequency BeiDou satellite positioning, USB 3.2 Gen 1, and the n79 high-frequency band. Additional hardware features include dual stereo speakers tuned by Master, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and Oppo’s Crystal Shield Glass display protection, along with an upgraded high-performance X-axis linear motor designed to deliver enhanced haptic feedback.

OnePlus has yet to reveal more details about the OnePlus 16, but reports suggest that it will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, along with a 200MP main camera.
