Previously, we reviewed the nubia Neo 5 GT 5G and even the nubia Neo 5 5G gaming performance.
This time, we got to try the nubia Neo 5 Pro as our daily driver, and here are our thoughts after using it for a couple of days.
First is the design. Compared to the two nubia Neo devices we tested before, this one offers a more subtle gaming look.

While using it, we found the device a bit slippery due to its smooth finish, so we would recommend using the included free case for extra grip.

For users who are always on their phones, the device may also feel slightly heavy. The phone comes with an IP64 rating for added durability, so accidental splashes should not be a problem.
Now for the display. For a phone priced under PHP 20,000, the screen is quite promising. It features a 6.8-inch 1.2K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Display quality is great overall. When we used it for entertainment, the visuals looked vibrant and sharp. The bezels are slightly thick, but the viewing angles are still good.

While gaming, however, we encountered some accidental touches, which became a bit bothersome. We also noticed occasional slowdowns and stutters when navigating the UI despite the 120Hz refresh rate. This is where the performance comes in.

When it comes to cameras, the device sports a 50MP main rear camera along with a 16MP selfie shooter.
The rear camera quality is surprisingly good. Photos come out vibrant and sharp, while color reproduction is pleasing. You also get a wide dynamic range with a decent amount of detail.
In low-light photography, the camera brightens up images well, but it lacks the detail and sharpness we were hoping for. Photos tend to look soft, which is not ideal.
For video recording, the phone offers decent quality for casual use, though stabilization could still be improved in certain situations.
The nubia Neo 5 Pro is powered by a UNISOC T9300 chipset.

Our unit comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. For light tasks and social media browsing, the phone performs well. It can also handle 1080p video editing, although there are occasional stutters when navigating the effects tab.

For gaming, titles like Free Fire and Mobile Legends run smoothly, but the device starts to struggle with heavier games.
Benchmark Results
For the battery, the phone is equipped with a 6,050mAh capacity paired with 45W fast charging.

A single charge lasted us the whole day with around five to six hours of screen time. However, battery consumption becomes noticeably faster during gaming sessions.
Finally, for pricing, the nubia Neo 5 Pro is priced at PHP 14,999 for the 12GB + 256GB configuration.

Overall, the nubia Neo 5 Pro is a decent budget gaming phone that offers excellent value without the flagship price tag.
You get a good display, sleek design, and reliable day-to-day performance. While its camera system is capable, it still lacks flexibility in some areas.
