NTC Reports Faster Internet Speed After Surviving Duterte’s ‘Shut Down’ Threats

According to a press briefing held by the Malacañang Palace, as reported by ABS-CBN News, the country’s internet service providers have improved their download speed.

As stated, the report doesn’t include any substantial data to fact check the findings of NTC. But due to Duterte’s tirade last year, Globe and Smart have been ramping up their services by building more towers to accommodate more customers and provide a better internet experience better than ever. And with DITO already nearing its launch this March, Converge offering free speed upgrades this year, it’s only a matter of time until the people of the Philippines get what they really deserve.

Recently, DITO successfully tested its 5G network. The company is on track to hit its target 27Mbps consumer internet speed by this year.
