HONOR 600 5G Review

There is a new midrange smartphone on the market that features a design trend that has become widely popular this year, the HONOR 600.

We’ve been using this device as our daily driver for a couple of days now, and here are our thoughts on it.

Design

First, let’s talk about the most notable aspect of the device, the design.

The HONOR 600 has an overall look that is reminiscent of the iPhone 17.

They even got the color choices right, and while I was outside, some people actually thought I was using an iPhone.

Personally, I never had any issues with the overall build quality during my time using it.

The phone feels solid, and the soft edges make it more comfortable to hold. It is also easy to use with one hand. Even when you’re busy, the weight and thickness are not bothersome.

Additionally, the device comes with an IP68/IP69K rating. So for clumsy users out there, accidental splashes or brief submersion in water should not be a problem.

Display

In terms of display, I would say the HONOR 600 comes with a really nice panel. It features a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with support for HDR Vivid and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Some people may point out that other phones offer a higher refresh rate, but honestly, the difference between 120Hz and 144Hz is barely noticeable in daily use.

The standout feature here is definitely the brightness. We never had any trouble viewing the display outdoors.

So if you are someone who spends a lot of time outside, even under direct sunlight, the screen remains visible and detailed thanks to its impressive 8000 nits of peak brightness.

For multimedia consumption, the viewing experience is also great. The phone features very slim bezels, making videos feel more immersive, while the viewing angles remain impressive.

Cameras

The HONOR 600 features a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 200MP main camera with OIS and a 12MP ultrawide camera. On the front, it sports a 50MP selfie shooter.

In terms of camera performance, daylight photography is excellent. The phone delivers flagship-like image quality with impressive detail and sharpness. Images also lean toward a cooler tone while maintaining a wide dynamic range.

Low-light photography is also decent, and the phone does a good job of brightening images while still preserving details.

For selfies, the device captures bright and detailed shots with natural-looking skin tones. Subject separation is also quite good, which helps portraits stand out more.

As for video recording, both the front and rear cameras can shoot up to 4K at 60FPS. Video quality is great in daylight conditions, though detail retention does struggle a bit in low-light environments.

Another notable feature in the camera department is AI Image to Video 2.0.

You can easily generate AI videos using photos you’ve taken.

Simply head to the gallery, tap “Create,” select “Image to Video,” and choose the image you want to use. You can even add prompts to generate your preferred video style.

Performance

Now let’s talk about performance. The HONOR 600 is powered by the 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, which is currently one of the stronger midrange processors on the market.

For daily use, the performance honestly feels overkill. During productivity tasks, the phone performed smoothly even under heavier workloads.

App switching was fast and responsive, and we were even able to do basic 4K video editing without any noticeable stutters.

We also tested some games on the device, and the gaming performance was great overall.

Benchmark Results

  • Antutu Benchmark: 1428634
  • Geekbench 6 CPU: 1312 / 4045
  • Geekbench 6 OpenCL: 4760
  • Geekbench 6 Vulkan: 6626
  • 3DMark Wild Life: 6480

Battery

The HONOR 600 is backed by a massive 7000mAh battery paired with 80W wired charging.

For power users, the phone can comfortably last an entire day. In my experience, it actually took around two days before I needed to plug it in for charging.

Pricing

Pricing are as follows:

  • 12GB + 256GB — PHP32,999
  • 12GB + 512GB — PHP37,999

Final Thoughts

Overall, the HONOR 600 is a great option for users looking for a smartphone that offers near-flagship performance at a more affordable price point.

It delivers strong camera performance, impressive battery life, and an exceptionally bright display.

However, it does miss out on wireless charging, and the software still comes with some pre-installed bloatware.

Still, if you are looking for a device that feels close to a flagship experience without spending flagship money, the HONOR 600 is definitely worth considering.
