Last month, vivo launched its latest addition to the flagship X-series lineup.
Today, we finally got our hands on one. This is the vivo X300 FE, and we’ve been using it as our daily driver. Here’s what we think about it.
Let’s start with the design. Compared to the Ultra variant, the X300 FE features an elongated, pill-shaped camera module that somewhat resembles the design found on the iPhone 17 Air.

The moment you pick it up, you can immediately tell that vivo used premium materials. It feels sturdy and well-built, with a bit of heft that adds to its premium feel. Despite that, the phone remains compact and comfortable enough for one-handed use.

The rear panel is made of glass and features a glossy finish with a matte-like appearance. While it certainly looks premium, the surface can be quite slippery, so using a case is highly recommended.
The vivo X300 FE sports a 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with HDR10+ support, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 5,000-nit peak brightness.

As expected from a flagship smartphone, the display quality is excellent. The bezels are extremely thin, resulting in a more immersive viewing experience and better screen-to-body ratio.
Colors are vibrant, viewing angles are wide, and visibility remains excellent even in bright lighting.

I also didn’t encounter any slowdowns while navigating the interface. Even with multiple apps running in the background, animations and transitions remained consistently smooth.
Powering the vivo X300 FE is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. Our review unit comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

For an all-around flagship device, the chipset delivers performance that is more than capable for its price segment. It handles heavy multitasking with ease and can process 4K video editing workloads without any noticeable lag.

Gaming performance is equally impressive. We tested Zenless Zone Zero at maximum settings and did not experience any frame drops or major stutters during gameplay. There were minor slowdowns during the initial loading stages, but once everything settled, the game ran smoothly.
Benchmark Results
The vivo X300 FE is backed by a 6,500mAh battery paired with 90W wired fast charging.

Battery life is one of the phone’s strongest points. During our PCMark Battery Test, the device comfortably lasted an entire day from 100% down to 20%.

For casual users, that level of endurance can easily translate to around one and a half days of real-world use before needing a recharge.
The vivo X300 FE features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. On the front, it is equipped with a 50MP selfie shooter.

For daylight photography, the rear cameras perform very well. Images come out clear with a wide dynamic range, while retaining excellent sharpness and detail.
In low-light situations, the phone does a good job of brightening scenes without sacrificing too much image quality. Details remain respectable, and photos maintain a decent level of sharpness.
Selfies are another strong point. Skin tones appear natural and true to life, while facial details are captured clearly. Overall image quality is sharp, with plenty of detail and accurate facial reproduction.
For video recording, the rear camera can shoot at up to 8K at 30FPS, while the front camera supports up to 4K at 60FPS. Rear-camera stabilization is available, although it is limited to 1080p at 30FPS recording.
The vivo X300 FE is priced at PHP 54,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant.

Overall, the vivo X300 FE is a flagship smartphone that checks nearly all the right boxes. It offers a premium design, an excellent display, strong performance, capable cameras, and impressive battery life.
My biggest concern with the device is its pricing, as there are several strong competitors in this price range. However, if you’re looking for a compact flagship that delivers a balanced experience across the board, the vivo X300 FE is certainly worth considering.
