PHP 2.7M in Fuel Vouchers Released by inDrive to Support Drivers

Ride-hailing firm inDrive has provided support to its driver-partner community with a PHP 2.7M fuel voucher program in an effort to lessen the burden of rising fuel prices brought on by the global oil crisis.

The company said that its fuel voucher program for active drivers was intended to support the government’s initiative to give transport workers, including TNVS drivers, a P5,000 fuel subsidy.

“This initiative aims to ease the financial strain of rising fuel costs, enabling drivers to continue operating without compromising their earnings or passing additional costs on to passengers,” inDrive said.

inDrive also announced that it is expanding its collaboration with SeaOil to offer fuel discounts to drivers.

Additionally, the firm also launched a new zoning feature aimed at increasing driver earnings in high-traffic zones. This system allows drivers in high-demand areas to access commission rates as low as 1% per trip, which is a significant drop from the 10% commission inDrive typically charges elsewhere.

“We want our partner drivers and passengers to know that we are aware of their concerns and we are committed to supporting their well-being while we all face these challenges,” said Sofia Guinto, country manager at inDrive Philippines.
