Google has officially launched the Google AI Educator Series in the Philippines.
The program is a free online training open to educators in primary, secondary, and higher education. It provides short learning sessions focused on practical uses of AI, including Gemini for Education and other Google tools.
The training covers three main areas:
- foundational AI understanding
- pedagogical applications
- administrative applications
Sessions are designed to fit different schedules, with lessons lasting around 10 to 15 minutes for primary and secondary educators and 30 to 45 minutes for higher education faculty.
Participants can complete self-paced modules or join instructor-led training through the Google for Education Learning Center.
Participants who complete the required activities and quizzes can earn digital badges that recognize their AI literacy and skills. The modules can be taken individually or combined into longer professional development sessions.
Although the program uses Google tools for practical exercises, its curriculum also covers broader AI concepts, critical thinking, and responsible AI use that can apply to other digital learning platforms.
