
Blizzard Entertainment announced new games, updates, expansions, and other content for its major franchises during the BlizzCon 2026 Opening Ceremony.
The company announced STARCRAFT, an open-world shooter set in the Koprulu Sector. It is scheduled to launch in Spring 2030.
Blizzard also announced Diablo V, which is set to launch in Spring 2029. The game takes place in a Sanctuary where Diablo has already won.
For Diablo IV, Season of Hell’s Legacy will launch on September 15 as part of the franchise’s 30th anniversary. The update will bring back the Prime Evils and add anniversary rewards and new gear. The Amazon class is also coming in the first half of 2027, while the game will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 15.

World of Warcraft will receive its next major update, Eclipse (12.2), as the Worldsoul Saga continues. Blizzard also confirmed that The Last Titan will be the final installment of the saga, with more details expected in early 2027.
Blizzard also announced World of Warcraft: Forever, a new World of Warcraft experience set during the Vanilla era. It will add three new zones, more than 1,000 quests, nine dungeons, two raids, and the new Skyborne race. It launches November 4, 2026, with beta testing starting September 17.
Meanwhile, Warcraft III: Reforged has received the new Forsaken Kingdom campaign, covering the fall of Lordaeron and the creation of the Undercity. The campaign is available now alongside Update 3.0, which adds graphics improvements and an updated World Editor.
For Overwatch, Blizzard introduced Doctrine, a new Support Hero coming with Season 5. The season will also include Sombra and Roadhog reworks, the Watchpoint: Grimsvötn map, and the conclusion of The Reign of Talon story arc. Blizzard will reveal more about the game in an Overwatch Spotlight scheduled for February 2027.

Hearthstone is getting a new Journal that brings quests, achievements, events, and other progression into one place. The Reign of the Black Empire expansion launches October 20, while Battlegrounds will receive the new Aberrations minion type on September 22. The Monk class is also coming in March 2027.
In Heroes of the Storm, Xal’atath will become the game’s newest Hero on September 28. She will be available on the PTR starting September 14.
Blizzard also confirmed that a new animated Diablo series is in development with Netflix. Further details about the series have not yet been announced.
