realme has officially unveiled the realme 16 smartphone in Vietnam and is expected to roll out to more markets in the following weeks.
The realme 16 sports an Air Design body with a flat frame and curved corners. Its rear has an Aurora Wings finish with a blue to purple gradient that changes in different lighting.
The horizontal camera bar at the back houses a 50MP Sony IMX852 main sensor, a 2MP monochrome lens, and a built-in selfie mirror with the LED flash around the outer edge. The cameras support realme’s LumaColor image processing.
Upfront, it features a 6.57 inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ 2372 × 1080 resolution, a 93 percent screen-to-body ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling, and DT Star D+ glass protection. Its display also supports 1000 nits normally, 1400 nits in high brightness mode, and 4200 nits peak brightness. The selfie camera houses a 50MP sensor.
Powering the device inside is the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo octa-core processor with Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It also packs a 7000mAh battery capacity with 60W wired fast charging support.
The brand used an aircraft structure layout and high density graphite battery to fit the 7,000mAh capacity in its 8.10mm thin body. Meanwhile, handling the temperature is a 6050mm² vapor chamber.
Additionally, the realme 16 is equipped with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance, including high-pressure water jets.
The realme 16 is listed in White Swan and Black Cloud colors. It is priced in Vietnam at VND 11,490,000 (~PHP 26,096) for the 8GB + 256GB model and VND 12,490,000 (~PHP 28,367) for the 12GB + 256GB variant.
