TECNO has introduced its latest foldable concept device, the PHANTOM Ultimate G Fold Concept, featuring a unique tri-fold design with dual inward folds.
The device offers a large 9.94-inch display when fully unfolded, and measures just 11.49mm thick when folded, making it the thinnest tri-fold smartphone to date. When unfolded, it starts at only 3.49mm in thickness.
Unlike typical tri-fold phones that expose their inner screen, TECNO’s G-Style design folds the display inward twice, fully protecting it.
It also includes a second outer display for regular smartphone use.
The tri-fold structure is supported by a custom dual-hinge system, a waterdrop hinge, and a larger main hinge, designed for gapless folding and improved durability.
The hinges also support multi-angle hovering, allowing the device to stay partially folded for productivity use.
The inner display aims to offer minimal creasing and a tablet-like experience for multitasking and media consumption.
Despite its slim design, the concept phone features a triple-camera setup, a high-performance chipset, and a battery of over 5000mAh. The build includes high-strength steel and a 0.3mm Titan Fiber back cover for added durability.
