Sony has introduced the ECM-AX10, a compact microphone that supports spatial and stereo audio recording.
The microphone supports Ambisonics, binaural, and stereo recording. It records audio at 48 kHz in 16-bit or 24-bit integer and 32-bit float formats.
Its frequency response ranges from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with a maximum sound pressure level of 120 dB SPL or higher.

The ECM-AX10 also features a six-axis motion sensor consisting of a three-axis gyroscope and a three-axis accelerometer.
It has low-cut and noise-cut filters, along with an adjustable attenuator with 0 dB, 10 dB, and 20 dB settings. These filters are disabled when using spatial Ambisonics mode.

For connectivity, the microphone uses a USB Type-C port and includes a stereo mini-jack headphone output. It draws power from the connected device and operates at temperatures between 0°C and 40°C.
Sony has yet to announce the ECM-AX10’s Philippine availability.
