Google has officially announced Gemini 3, calling it its next major step toward Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).
The company says the new model delivers stronger multimodal understanding, deeper interactivity, and more advanced reasoning.
It is built to help users learn, build, and plan through text, images, and other media. Google is also introducing Gemini 3 Deep Think, an enhanced reasoning mode that will first be tested by safety reviewers before reaching Google AI Ultra subscribers.

Google says Gemini 3 is its most secure model to date. It shows improvements in resisting prompt injections, reducing overly agreeable responses, and preventing misuse in cybersecurity contexts.
The model underwent extensive internal safety tests under Google’s Frontier Safety Framework.
Google also worked with outside experts and organizations, including the UK AISI and independent evaluators such as Apollo, Vaultis, and Dreadnode.

Starting today, Gemini 3 is now available in preview and is rolling out in the following platforms:
Deep Think mode will follow after additional safety reviews.
