Android 17 Developer Preview Program is now available for four Xiaomi devices.
Eligible devices are the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Leica Leitz Phone powered by Xiaomi, and Xiaomi 15T Pro.
The preview build is intended for developers to test apps ahead of the official Android 17 release.
It requires manual installation by flashing a ROM and will erase all data on the device which makes it not recommended for primary phones.
Eligible devices must also be on specific HyperOS versions before installing the preview.
The Xiaomi 17 needs OS3.0.301.0.WPCMIXM, while the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Leica Leitz Phone powered by Xiaomi require OS3.0.9.0.WPAMIXM, and the Xiaomi 15T Pro must be on OS3.0.11.0.WOSMIXM.
Downloadable ROM files for both the developer preview and rollback versions are available, allowing users to return to stable software if needed.
The program is part of early testing for Android 17, with more updates expected in the coming months.
