Friendster is back! The social networking platform, launched in March 2002 by Jonathan Abrams, has returned to the social media industry.
This time, it introduces a platform focused on real-life connections. The app limits friend adding to in-person, phone-to-phone linking, aiming to connect users only with people they know.

According to its App Store listing, the app does not include follower counts, suggested users, or public discovery features.
Additionally, the platform removes ads and algorithm-based feeds. Users only see posts from friends they have added, and the company says it does not sell user data.
Core features include a friends-only feed, direct and group messaging, and notifications for interactions.
Friendster is now available for download on the Apple App Store.
