Qualcomm has officially introduced the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 mobile platforms, both built on a 2nm process and featuring its custom Oryon CPU.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 has a 5GHz Oryon CPU with two prime cores and an Adreno GPU with matrix cores and Adreno Neural Fusion.
It also supports up to 14.8Gbps 5G download speeds and up to 11.6Gbps Wi-Fi speeds.
For cameras, it features a triple 20-bit AI ISP, support for up to 320MP single-camera capture, 4K video recording at 120fps, and 1080p slow-motion video at 960fps. It also supports UFS 5.0 storage and LPDDR5X memory.
The standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 also uses a 5GHz Oryon CPU and Adreno GPU, with support for the same 14.8Gbps peak 5G download speed. It differs with features such as Qualcomm Game Quick Touch 3.0 and Motion Intelligence.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 supports UFS 4.1 storage, while both platforms support QHD+ displays at up to 240Hz, Wi-Fi 8, Bluetooth 6.0, Quick Charge 5, and USB 3.1 Gen 2.
Both platforms use the Qualcomm X105 5G Modem-RF System and the FastConnect 8800 connectivity system.
