
Sony has introduced the new FX5 Cinema Line full-frame camera in the Philippines.
The Sony FX5 features a 35mm full-frame Exmor RS CMOS sensor with approximately 18.2MP total resolution and up to 15+ stops of dynamic range when shooting in S-Log3.
It also supports Fast Hybrid AF with 759 phase-detection points and subject recognition for humans, animals, and birds.

For video recording, the camera supports X-OCN, XAVC HS (H.265), and XAVC S (H.264) formats. It can also output RAW video over HDMI, record proxy files, and supports slow and quick motion recording.
The FX5 has a 3.5-inch touchscreen LCD with a 2.76-million-dot resolution and a fully articulating design.
It also features 5-axis in-body image stabilization, dual CFexpress Type A/SD card slots, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C with Power Delivery, and a 2.5Gb Ethernet port for file transfer and network streaming.
Sony offers two versions of the camera. The ILME-FX5B is the body-only model, while the ILME-FX5 includes an XLR handle unit with two 3-pin XLR audio inputs for professional audio recording.

Sony FX5 Cinema Camera (Body Only) is priced at PHP 318,000. While the Sony FX5 Cinema Camera (Body + XLR Handle Unit) is priced at PHP 349,000
Sony’s pre-order promotion runs from July 23, 2026, to August 24, 2026. During the promo period, customers who pre-order the Sony FX5 will receive a free NP-SA100 battery worth PHP 6,400.
