HUAWEI has introduced HarmonyOS 7 at its latest HUAWEI Developer Conference.
A key highlight of HarmonyOS 7 is a new “spatial personalization” feature that adds 3D-style effects to system visuals, including the lock screen, where wallpapers and interface elements can appear with depth-like animations. The system UI is also updated with new light and motion effects for buttons and sliders.
HUAWEI also announced the agentic AI system.
The upgraded assistant can handle more in-app actions, respond to user requests faster, and perform system-level tasks with deeper integration across apps. The company says this improves task completion and expands what the assistant can do beyond basic commands.
The update also adds new AI-powered tools for photo editing and system personalization.
Under the hood, HUAWEI claims HarmonyOS 7 delivers more than a 15% performance improvement compared to HarmonyOS 6.1. This includes faster app launches, improved gaming performance, and smoother media playback.

A developer beta for HarmonyOS 7 is now available for selected devices, while the full public release is expected later in the year.
