Rumors have already surfaced online, revealing that the upcoming Samsung tri-fold smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. According to Android Authority, it was spotted through lines of code in a new One UI 8 internal beta that mention “siop_q7mq_sm8750.” The “sm8750” part directly translates to the model number of the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
The same chipset is also found on the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7.

According to previous leaks, the Galaxy Z TriFold will flaunt around 10 inches of inner screen size, and will come with an extra cover screen. Samsung’s tri-fold smartphone will fold differently compared to Huawei’s Mate XT, which is the first tri-fold smartphone avalilable on the market.

The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to release this year with a price tag rumored to be around KRW 4,000,000 (~PHP 164,491).
