HONOR 600 Pro Review

Design and Build

At first glance, the HONOR 600 Pro does resemble the iPhone 17 Pro. However, there are still noticeable differences once you take a closer look.

Unlike the iPhone 17 Pro, the HONOR 600 Pro features a slightly oblong-shaped camera module. The color tone is also different, as the HONOR 600 Pro uses a more toned-down orange finish compared to the brighter orange of the iPhone 17 Pro.

In terms of build, the HONOR 600 Pro measures 7.8mm thick and weighs 200 grams. In our experience, it feels handy and easy to slip inside pockets despite packing a large battery.

Additionally, the device comes with IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings. This means the phone has strong protection against water and dust, giving users extra peace of mind during daily use.

Display

For the display, the HONOR 600 Pro features a 6.57-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. One of the highlights of this device is its brightness capability.

With up to 8000 nits HDR peak brightness, using the phone outdoors under direct sunlight was not an issue. The screen remained clear and readable without needing to shade it with our hands or squint just to see the display.

Camera

The HONOR 600 Pro offers a triple rear camera setup consisting of:

  • 200MP main camera with OIS
  • 50MP periscope telephoto with 3.5x zoom and OIS
  • 12MP ultra-wide + macro

Meanwhile, selfies are handled by a 50MP front camera.

We’re going to be straightforward, the camera quality is good. The results produced natural-looking skin tones, while the rear cameras delivered wide dynamic range, balanced colors, and generally pleasing images.

Daylight Sample Shot

On the other hand, low-light performance was satisfactory. The HONOR 600 Pro was still able to capture decent details without excessive grain or blur in dim environments.

Lowlight Sample Shot

Under direct sunlight, photos and videos can appear slightly sharper than expected. However, the sharpness is still manageable and not overly harsh. Bright outdoor conditions can sometimes be difficult for smartphone cameras to process, so this is understandable.

Overall, the HONOR 600 Pro offers satisfying camera capabilities for casual photography, social media content, and everyday video recording.

Performance

Under the hood, the HONOR 600 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.

In our real-world testing, we mainly used the phone for taking photos, recording videos, navigation, social media browsing, and casual gaming. For these tasks, the chipset felt more than enough.

Daily activities such as scrolling through social media, messaging, multitasking, and gaming were smooth and responsive.

Benchmark Result

  • AnTuTu Benchmark: 2,525,456
  • Geekbench 6 CPU: 2648 single-core / 6177 multi-core
  • Geekbench 6 OpenCL: 15,830
  • Geekbench 6 Vulkan: 21,200
  • 3DMark Wild Life: Maxed Out

The benchmark scores are flagship-level and reflect the smooth experience we had during daily use.

Battery

On paper, the HONOR 600 Pro packs a massive 7000mAh battery along with:

  • 80W wired charging
  • 50W wireless charging
  • 27W reverse wired charging

In our experience, we started the day at 88% battery at 8:07 AM and ended at 28% by 5:42 PM.

That is around a 60% battery drop in roughly 9 hours and 40 minutes of usage.

We’ll be honest, the battery optimization does not seem as impressive as expected considering the battery size. We have tested other phones with better battery efficiency despite having smaller capacities.

Keep in mind that during our test, the device was mainly used for taking photos, recording videos, navigation, and social media browsing. These tasks are more demanding compared to basic casual use.

Despite that, for normal everyday use, such as messaging, browsing, video streaming, and social media, the HONOR 600 Pro should still comfortably last an entire day for most users.

Price

The HONOR 600 Pro is priced at PHP 49,999 for the 12GB + 512GB variant.

Overall

The HONOR 600 Pro delivers strong flagship-level performance, a bright display, and capable cameras.

Its Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset easily handles daily tasks, while the display performs well even outdoors. The cameras also produce pleasing and natural-looking results in most situations.

However, battery optimization could still be improved, considering the large 7000mAh capacity. While the phone can still last a whole day with casual use, we expected slightly better efficiency during heavier usage.

Overall, if you want a flagship smartphone with strong performance, a bright AMOLED display, reliable cameras, and premium durability features, the HONOR 600 Pro is a solid option at its price point.
