After the launch of the REDMI Note 15 Series, we shouldn’t forget another gaming review.
That’s why, in this article, we take a closer look at the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G.
As always, we tested our usual set of games to see whether this device is suitable for mobile gamers. Let’s find out.

For our first game, we have Mobile Legends. By default, the settings are already set to High, but we maxed them out.
During our entire playthrough, we didn’t encounter any performance issues. The device didn’t struggle at all; it was smooth, with no stutters or frame drops, even during team fights. FPS remained consistent throughout.

So for Mobile Legends with maxed-out settings, we got 88 to 90 FPS.

Next up is League of Legends: Wild Rift. By default, the settings are set to the Performance preset.
We went to the Custom tab and enabled the 120-frame option. As usual, we encountered some minor stutters during the opening sequence.
During gameplay, however, it performed very well, with no noticeable performance drops. It’s also quite surprising that we managed to hit 120 FPS, which is higher than in the first game. That said, the device does feel warmer after a few matches.

So for Wild Rift with maxed-out settings, we got 109 to 120 FPS.
Next, we have Call of Duty: Mobile. By default, the settings are set to Very High graphics with Max frame rate. We can set the frame rate to Ultra, but only when using Low graphics.

In terms of gameplay performance, the experience was generally smooth. However, we did notice some slow response times on the home screen.
FPS remained decent even during gunfights, which is good. There were some noticeable stutters from time to time, but they were mostly bearable. You can still easily do a 360 without any major issues.

So for Call of Duty: Mobile with Low graphics and Ultra frame rate, we got 48 to 60 FPS.
Now let’s move on to more graphically demanding games, starting with Genshin Impact. We played on the Medium preset with 60 FPS enabled.

During our Abyss gameplay, we didn’t encounter any slowdowns, even when switching characters or activating their elemental bursts. Outside the domain, however, the device does feel like it slows down at times. Overall, performance was still decent.

So for Genshin Impact on Medium settings at 60 FPS, we got 39 to 50 FPS.

Next up is Zenless Zone Zero. Settings were set to Low with 60 FPS enabled. Compared to Genshin Impact, I wouldn’t recommend playing this game on this device due to the amount of stutters and frame drops during combat.
We also encountered freeze frames when switching characters, which is a big issue for a game that relies heavily on timing. For me, this game is unplayable on this device.

So for Zenless Zone Zero on Low settings at 60 FPS, we got 8 to 20 FPS.

Lastly, we have Wuthering Waves. Settings were set to Balanced with 60 FPS enabled, and its performance is noticeably better compared to Zenless Zone Zero, which is quite surprising.
There are still stutters and frame drops, but they aren’t as severe, making the game somewhat playable. However, the device becomes noticeably warmer compared to the earlier games. Because this game also relies heavily on timing, I still wouldn’t recommend playing it on this device.

So for Wuthering Waves on Balanced settings at 60 FPS, we got 21 to 35 FPS.
Overall, the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G is not an ideal gaming device for its price. While it delivers great performance in Mobile Legends and Wild Rift, it starts to struggle when running more demanding titles.
If you’re a fan of the REDMI Note series and consider yourself a casual gamer, this device should be good enough.

However, if you’re looking for a smartphone mainly for gaming, other options on the market offer better performance at a more affordable price.
