
ASUS have officially introduced two new handheld gaming devices, the ROG Xbox Ally and the ROG Xbox Ally X.
These devices are part of the new Xbox Ally Series, combining ASUS hardware with a custom version of Windows built for handheld gaming.
Both models feature a 7-inch LCD screen with Full HD resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. They also offer Gorilla Glass Victus protection with an anti-reflection coating.

The Xbox Ally X comes with an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme chip, paired with 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 1TB storage.

The handheld gaming devices also have a capacity of 80WHr battery and 60WHr battery, respectively.
Both versions include two USB-C ports, but only the Ally X supports USB 4. Other features include a UHS-II microSD slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.4.
Out of the box, the devices run on a customized Windows interface tailored for handheld use, showing a full-screen Xbox dashboard.


This software supports games from multiple platforms including Xbox, Steam, and Epic Games. Microsoft is also introducing a game verification system similar to Steam Deck Verified.
ASUS and Microsoft have confirmed that the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X will launch this holiday season in over 30 countries, including the US, UK, Japan, Australia, Canada, Germany, and more. Additional markets will follow based on current ROG Ally availability.
