Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 launched in China

Xiaomi has launched its latest flagship foldable smartphone in China, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4. It is part of Xiaomi’s new MIX series.

For specs, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 sports a 7.98-inch 2K+ Samsung E7 LTPO inner panel with 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a 6.56-inch outer display with FHD+ TCL C8+ panel, protected by Xiaomi Shield Glass and also supports 120Hz refresh rate. Both displays feature 2160Hz PWM Dimming, DC Dimming, up to 3000 nits peak brightness, HDR10 +, and Dolby Vision.

According to the company, the inner display’s use of cutting-edge Pol-less Plus technology dramatically lowers power consumption while improving brightness and color performance, guaranteeing the best visual experience possible in both unfolded and folded states.

Moreover, it makes use of a brand-new, in-house hinge made by Xiaomi that combines high-strength materials with a transmission mechanism made of wear-resistant carbon ceramic steel. With a mere 4.59mm unfolded thickness and a 9.47mm folded thickness, the new design boasts a 34% reduction in hinge volume when compared to its predecessor.

The device also incorporates T800H carbon fiber material that greatly increases overall strength and durability while reducing weight.

Powering the MIX Fold 4 is Qualcomm’s 3.3GHz 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core processor with Adreno 750 GPU, up to 16GB LPPDDR5X RAM, up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage, and 5100mAh silicon-carbon battery with 67W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

Camera-wise, the brand teamed up with Leica to produce Summilux lenses with a quad-camera system including a 50MP Light Fusion 800 high dynamic range sensor with “Dual Native ISO Fusion Max” technology, a 12MP ultra-wide shooter, a 50MP floating macro lens, and a 10MP telephoto lens.

There’s also a 16MP camera on both the internal and external displays.
