Anthropic has officially launched Claude Fable 5, its newest AI model.
The company says Claude Fable 5 is its most capable publicly available model to date, with improvements in software engineering, research, data analysis, vision tasks, and long-context reasoning.

According to Anthropic, Claude Fable 5 can handle longer and more complex tasks while maintaining accuracy.
To address safety concerns, Anthropic introduced new safeguards for the model. Requests related to cybersecurity, biology, chemistry, and AI model distillation may be redirected to Claude Opus 4.8 instead. The company said these safeguards are designed to reduce the risk of misuse while keeping the model widely accessible.
Claude Fable 5 is available starting today through the Claude API and supported Claude subscription plans.
