Apple has introduced a new subscription option for developers on the App Store.
This new option allows monthly payments with a 12-month commitment.
The new option lets developers offer pricing similar to annual subscriptions, but paid monthly to make costs more manageable for users.
Subscribers can cancel at any time, though the cancellation will only take effect after they complete the agreed number of payments.
Apple said the feature is designed to improve transparency. Users will be able to see how many payments they have already made and how many are left to complete their commitment.
The system will also send emails and optional push notifications before renewals.
Developers can start setting up and testing these subscriptions through App Store Connect and Xcode.
The Apple Monthly Subscription will roll out globally, except in the United States and Singapore.
It will be available on devices running iOS 26.4 and later, with a wider release expected alongside iOS 26.5 and related updates in May.
