A few weeks ago, we talked about the HONOR 400 Pro and the features it brings to the table. Today, we’re putting it to the test to see how well it performs in gaming. Can it handle our usual lineup of games? Let’s find out.

As always, we tested six games, starting with Mobile Legends. We maxed out the settings, and the gameplay was flawless—stable FPS, smooth animations, and no stutters.

Even after a few matches, the device didn’t feel warm. So if you’re a Mobile Legends fan, this phone won’t disappoint. With max settings, we consistently achieved 119 to 121 FPS.

Next, we moved on to League of Legends: Wild Rift. The default settings are optimized for performance at 60 frames, but we pushed everything to the highest available options. There was a bit of stutter during the opening sequence, common across most smartphones, but once inside the game, the experience was smooth and responsive.

No frame drops, no major issues. However, the device did feel slightly warm after extended sessions. With maxed settings, Wild Rift ran at a steady 115 to 120 FPS.

For Call of Duty: Mobile, the default configuration sets graphics to “Very High” and frame rate to “Max.” If you want “Ultra” frame rate, you’ll need to pair it with “Medium” graphics. We went with that setup, and the results were impressive.

Gameplay was consistently smooth, aiming felt accurate, and there were no stutters or noticeable frame drops. Similar to Wild Rift, the phone did warm up after a while. With medium graphics and max frame rate, we recorded 105 to 121 FPS.

Now, onto more graphically demanding titles. First up, Zenless Zone Zero. We set it to “Medium+” with 60 FPS.

There was some stutter in the menus, but combat gameplay remained fluid and responsive. Even with heavy visual effects, the performance was reliable. On these settings, the HONOR 400 Pro maintained 52 to 60 FPS.

Next, we tried Genshin Impact, also on “Medium+” with 60 FPS. Performance was smooth overall, with fluid combat and enjoyable exploration.

Routine tasks and even endgame content were handled well. In combat, FPS ranged between 48 to 51, while exploration ran at 51 to 55 FPS.

Finally, we tested Wuthering Waves on the same settings. The experience was smooth, with only occasional frame drops that were barely noticeable. Combat was responsive enough for precise parries and dodges, and exploration was equally enjoyable.

However, since the frame rate was capped at 60, the device did run warmer during longer sessions. FPS held steady at 50 to 60 in combat and around 48 to 52 during exploration.
Overall, the HONOR 400 Pro 5G delivers an impressive gaming experience. From competitive titles to graphically demanding RPGs, the device performed smoothly and consistently. If you’re looking for a phone with flagship-level features and strong gaming performance, the HONOR 400 Pro 5G is definitely worth considering.

As for the price, the HONOR 400 Pro 5G retails at PHP 32,999 for the 12GB+512GB configuration.
